As one of the most experienced cinematographers in Africa. Mr William Owusu has been filming International /Local documentaries, TV dramas, short/ features movies and commercials since 1996. His expertise in Camera, lights and composition enables him to project a film look to most of his productions. Over the course of his career as a videographer, he has filmed for CNN, Aljazeera, Medeva and Big Ideas Ltd. He is also a film maker in his own right and produced award winning films that have won awards at the international film Festivals such as Oberhaussen International Film Festival in Germany – 2004, 2005. In year 2006, he won the ecumenical award for his short film ‘Me First.’ He trains and directs the filming work carried out by Big Ideas Entertainment.Facebook
Angelo kinyua was the overall winner of the prestigious CNN Multichoice Africa Journalist of the year award(2005), as well as best documentary director at the Kenya Cine week 2004. He has worked as a TV producer and Director for 12 years. He has produced for highly rated TV magazine series such us; Tazama broadcast on National television in Kenya. He also produced the popular TV series “Red Korner” broadcast on NTV. He also directed the first ever MNET TV series in East Africa as well as the highly rated legal TV drama “Be The Judge.” He successfully completed the international professional program at the CNN headquarters in Atlanta USA on the running of a big news company. In testament to his vast experience, he has directed documentaries for Barclays Bank Kenya, Microsoft Africa, DFID, Davis and Shirtliff, the Government of Kenya program for ICT, the judiciary, the UN among others.
During 2009 he led a research for the BBC 2009 Green award winner film “Murder on the lake film” in Sheffield documentary film festival UK. The film was shot in Kenya by one of Britain’s most respected movie producers, Henry Singer, and captures the complex web of interests that marked Root’s life in the final years of her life. During the same year he made a remarkable contribution as a stringer in “A blooming business Documentary film (Also 2009 Healthy Workplaces Film Award, Dok Leipzig, the largest German and second largest European documentary film festival), also broadcasted on Aljazeera TV. In the year 2011, he worked as a fixer/ researcher for February 2011 Edition – STERN MAGAZINE (One of the leading Magazines in Germany). Joe Joined the Big Ideas Entertainment Co LTD in the year 2012 as a production Coordinator/Office Administrator, since then
he has worked on various film production projects i.e. Kenya Tourist Board (KTB) TV Commercials, Setting the pace Season 2 & 3 ( Zuku Sport,TV Series) among many other commissioned documentary films.
